BACKGROUND: 
Grow Asia is a multi-stakeholder partnership platform established by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Our mission is to transform food systems in Southeast Asia to become more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient to climate change.

As a network of over 770 global and regional partners, Grow Asia fosters collaboration to drive impact by convening decision-makers, mobilizing partnerships and finance, and delivering solutions across field, national, and regional levels. With its base in Singapore and five country chapters, Grow Asia operates 44 Working Groups and engages 3.4 million smallholder farmers with technical assistance and blended finance solutions.

THE ROLE:
Grow Asia is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee program design and implementation in Southeast Asia. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing donor engagement, mobilizing resources, and building impactful relationships with governments, NGOs, businesses, and international development agencies who work at the nexus of agriculture, food, and climate.
Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Regional Manager, Programs will design, deliver and support donor-funded projects aligned with Grow Asia’s strategic priorities.
In the first instance, the successful candidate will coordinate Grow Asia’s engagement with existing partners, including ASEAN Member States, FAO, WFP, WEF, and The Rockefeller Foundation to advance international efforts in transforming food systems while seeking out new opportunities with other donors and partners.
We are looking for an independent thinker and problem solver, with a strong sense of self-motivation, who thrives in a highly collaborative, dynamic team environment. The successful candidate should bring experience in designing and implementing innovative technical assistance programs across multiple disciplines and countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Support the strategic design and implementation of regional programs, including but not limited to the expansion and replication of successful programs under GrowVentures, GrowHer, and GrowRight.

Lead project management and direct support for Country Chapters to deliver pilots such as innovation challenges, Food Innovation Hubs, and human-centered design training, as well as learning and leadership events.

Engage with partners and donors to provide regular updates and ensure alignment with their priorities, and provide technical guidance where needed

Engage with national government agencies and regional policymaking bodies (e.g. ASEAN Secretariat) to inform policy dialogues, consultations, and other processes

Coordinate engagements with FAO, WFP, and other international and regional UN entities, ensuring alignment and coordination on shared objectives and MoUs.

Contribute to the development of new program proposals and concept notes aligned with regional needs and priorities.

Provide technical guidance on the role of digital technologies, ICT solutions, and innovations in improving the adoption of climate-smart solutions by MSMEs in Southeast Asia.

Support the design of program monitoring tools, monitoring reports, and evaluations.

work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to position Grow Asia as a leader in sustainable food systems transformation through public-private-philanthropic partnerships.

Work closely with the communications team to identify strategic communication opportunities at the national, regional, and international levels, including social media

Represent Grow Asia in relevant internal and external conferences and events
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the position (ICT, international development, agriculture, environment, economics, business, engineering, or equivalent)

4 - 8 years of work experience in a multi-stakeholder environment, ideally focused on climate change and/or digitalization and/or innovation in food, agriculture, or forestry (spanning corporate, non-profit, consulting, and/or research partners)

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and concurrently, across geographies and teams

Experience working with/for agri-food startups and small businesses in Southeast Asia

Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation linked to sustainable development, (i.e. writing proposals and reports, developing results frameworks, designing M&E aligned to organizational outcomes)

Experience in strategic design, execution, and management of multi-country programs, in Southeast Asia a plus

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English and, ideally, one other Southeast Asian language

Excellent attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface at all levels of seniority both internally and with senior stakeholders in the public, private, and civil society sectors.

Ability to work independently.

High level of integrity and commitment to socio-economic development and food systems transformation
Location: Singapore (or remote Southeast Asia)
Travel requirement: Up to 40%, mainly within Southeast Asia
