Formally established in April 2012, and pre-dating the existence of the regional Grow Asia secretariat, the Partnership for Indonesia’s Sustainable Agriculture (PISAgro) is the most mature Country Partnership in the Grow Asia network. With 85 partner organizations collaborating across ten commodity-based and three value chain-specific Working Groups, it is also reporting significant impact through the activities of its network – 614,756 smallholders reached as of December 2019.
PISAgro is also the most independent of all Grow Asia’s Country Partnerships, and is completely self-financed. The direct support provided by the Grow Asia Secretariat is largely strategic, with supplementary resources being provided for learning events, Working Group support and drawing out process and project-based learnings through case studies.
