Leandro “Dax” Gazmin is the Country Director of the Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA), assuming the role in January 2026. In this capacity, he provides strategic leadership to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration and advance PPSA’s mission toward sustainable and inclusive agricultural development in the Philippines, including supporting the effective delivery of PPSA’s Working Groups and grant-related initiatives.
Before joining PPSA, Dax spent seven years with the Department of Agriculture (2010–2017), where he handled agribusiness programs and engaged with national agencies, development partners, private sector leaders, civil society organizations, and grassroots communities. He also worked on USAID-supported projects focused on strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), building deep experience in food and agri-value chains.
A mechanical engineer, Dax is skilled in designing efficient and scalable systems and is passionate about making emerging technologies accessible to farmers to increase productivity and improve livelihoods. He values building trust and genuine working relationships across sectors, and he aims to leverage PPSA’s partnerships and networks to translate collaborative learnings into tangible impact for Filipino farmers.
