Grow Asia Learning Alliance

Action-oriented research addresses some of the greatest challenges in smallholder value chains. But application requires collaboration between research, industry, and other players in the agriculture sector.

With the support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), we established the Grow Asia Learning Alliance (GALA) to help knowledge producers – such as research institutes, universities and think tanks – connect with agribusinesses, while providing them with tools to navigate partnerships with business.

Grow Asia’s network, and its strong connection to the private sector and government agencies have proven to be a strong incentive for partners from academia and research to engage with us. Through GALA, we will continue to provide stakeholders from academia and research the opportunity to connect with agribusinesses, to scale the impact of agriculture research in the region.

Webinar Series

To increase the application of research in agriculture value chains, Grow Asia is committed to helping researchers build products/innovations that puts user needs at the center of the design process. This 3-part webinar series is designed to help researchers and innovators achieve that goal, by providing interactive sessions where participants could learn about value propositions and business models for research products, and hear practical insights directly from agribusinesses leaders on how they could engage with industry.
