Frederique is the Regional Lead of Programs at Grow Asia, where she works with partners across sectors to advance more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agricultural systems in Southeast Asia. 

 

She is a sustainability leader with deep experience in responsible food and agricultural supply chains. Prior to joining Grow Asia, Frederique worked at Albert Heijn, the largest food retailer in The Netherlands, where she led social and environmental risk management strategies across global value chains, including soy, palm oil, cocoa, coffee, and seafood. Her work focused on translating complex sustainability challenges into practical, scalable action in partnership with suppliers, NGOs, and industry initiatives. She also played a key role in Albert Heijn becoming the world’s first major supermarket chain to achieve B Corp certification, helping embed social and environmental performance into the company’s core business strategy.

 

Frederique holds a Masters degree in Business & Sustainability and is passionate about the future of food and agriculture. Curious by nature, she is especially motivated by working across cultures and sectors to build more inclusive and resilient food systems.
