Myanmar Agriculture Network (MAN)
U Ye Htut is Country Director for Myanmar Agriculture Network (MAN) – one of five Country Partnerships supported by Grow Asia. He is responsible for leading the country Secretariat and coordinating MAN’s members, which includes over 300 organizations from the public and private sectors collaborating to improve agricultural development in Myanmar.
U Ye Htut is a former diplomat who has over 20 years of experience in fostering ties between Myanmar and international partners. During his tenure as a diplomat, he facilitated economic technical programs between Myanmar and Thailand (DTEC), South Korea (KOICA) and Japan (JICA) and also served in various Myanmar Missions in Hong Kong, Geneva and Brussels. He served as Desk Officer for the Conference on Disarmament, International Labor Organization (ILO), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and World Trade Organization (WTO) during his term in Geneva. More recently, he worked as a Consultant for the Euro Burma Office in Brussels, which served as an informal channel for two-way public diplomacy and to promote the development of democracy.
