Lucy is the Regional Manager for International Trade and Development at Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform that builds regional and country partnerships to broker market-driven solutions for more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems in Southeast Asia. The platform convenes governments, farmers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to co-create value chain initiatives focused on smallholder farmers and environmental sustainability.

Lucy leads Grow Asia’s engagement with global and regional trade and development partners and leverages Grow Asia’s network of partners to deliver on common priorities. She also supports international outreach and resource mobilization activities with public sector entities as well as key partners such as ASEAN Secretariat.

 

Prior to joining Grow Asia, Lucy worked at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in the UK as International Trade Negotiator. She led the agri-food and environment trade negotiations for the UK’s accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership as well as the UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement. A civil servant of eight years, she also has experience working across numerous government departments in the UK, including accompanying ministers to international events such as the G7. Lucy holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Exeter, where she also joined an exchange program at the University of New South Wales.
